The Druggiest Rock Stars of all time

Rock n roll has a bad rap sheet of rock stars indulging in drugs, and the music they make is better than that made by sober rock stars. The world of music does not lack rock stars who binged on drinks and drugs. Some on this list had a stint in rehab centers before they turned their ways around while others were not so lucky they died before their time.

Keith Richards

He is one of the original members of the legendary rock band Rolling Stones and was he is ranked as the 4th best guitarist of all times by Rolling Stones Magazine, and 14 songs he wrote for his band are among the 500 best rock n roll songs of all time. However, he underwent to various rehab programs to control his drug problem, but the effects of booze and drugs still show on his face.

Ozzy Osbourne

John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne is an English songwriter, vocalist, and television personality and rose to fame as the lead vocalist for Black Sabbath, one of the most iconic bands in the 70s and later years. His sound was instrumental in making heavy metal on the map, and he used drugs to keep up with the pressure of a rock star and to induce inspiration. He too underwent various rehab programs, and he has since gone clean.

Amy Winehouse

The English songbird is one of the new age rock stars who bowed out of the stage at 27. She had an iconic voice and songwriting skills that was a huge blow to the industry when the world learned of her death. She had been in various rehab centers on multiple occasions, but it seems several 90-day drug rehab programs were not enough to keep her clean and lost her life in the process.

Jimi Hendrix

Jimi’s mainstream career spanned only four years, but he is in the annals of history as one of the most influential electric guitarists of pop and rock music. He is arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music according to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He drowned in his vomit after a post-show celebration with every drug imaginable at the time.

These and more rock stars living and dead have had it rough with drug use, and though they go under the radar after their stint in rehab centers, it is wise to stop doing drugs or get help. If you know anyone with a drug problem, enroll him or her in at least 90-day drug rehab programs before it gets out of hand.

VA Rehab Programs

This is a lesser-known program offered at rehab centers for veterans and active duty service members who undergo the stress of war and cannot fit in with the society when they come back. Most result in taking drugs and alcohol as well as other controlled substances just to cope, and VA rehab programs will rehabilitate them back into the norms and the current state of life.

It could be you undergoing a controlled substance problem, a friend, or family member, do not take the chance that they will ride it out. It is much easier now with tailor-made rehab programs and VA rehab programs and you can do your research and choose the best rehab centers offering practical 90-day rehab programs and other rehab programs, for a chance to save a stitch in time.
